About SUNY Upstate Medical University
SUNY Upstate Medical University is a hospital in Syracuse, New York. It is listed at 750 E Adams St, Syracuse, NY 13210, which places it among the local businesses of Syracuse that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Syracuse, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across New York, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (315) 464-5540. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is upstate.edu, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 727 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

The Nicu here saved my daughter. She stayed for a week on oxygen due to Asthma and phenomena. They let me board with her and were extremely attentive with her. I take my children here EVERY TIME I need there is an emergency with them. They know their stuff and how to work with children and the doctors are always amazing with them.

Worst place to Ever send anyone to. I can't believe just how badly the handle elderly patients. They had my mother crying on multiple occasions! They screwed up the insurance billing for rehabilitation care so I had to call and fix this for her to get out of this hell hole and get proper care. If I could leave negative stars I would!

on the evening of December 26th 2004-I was shipped to University Hospital -because I sustained a brain bleed(A.V.M. to be exact.) (stroke) after initially being taken to Auburn Community Hospital they informed the ambulance driver that they did not have a neurology department, thus I should be taken to University Hospital.- I was then ushered back into the death wagon (ambulance) and taken to University Hospital. There I was worked on by Doctor James Holsapple<-- fantastic gentleman. I was thusly informed after regaining conciousness that I was the first person to have that surgery & survive, because the first guy they tried it on passed away right on the operating room table. Dr. Holsapple is well regarded in his medical field, Rightfully so. you cannot go wrong with any sort of affliction you may have, to be tended to by the fine folks of University Hospital. NOTHING BUT FANTASTIC THINGS, TO BE WRITTEN ABOUT THIS FACILITY. A+ Sincerily:Jamie Coyle Jr. a.k.a: six shooter

The guy that cleaned the 5th floor surgical waiting room around 1am on 4/24/26 deserves to be recognized. He is a kind man and his words were a comfort to me. Such a small interaction but it made me feel like people still do care. If he is reading this, thanks. You helped me during a rough time.
